A potted history
Back in 2001 Kevin Curtis and Mark Colgan (both self-confessed innovation junkies) started to feel increasingly frustrated working within the bureaucracy of big corporate structures. Both felt that they would flourish better in an environment which gave the freedom to make best use of their combined 35 years in the financial services industry.
And they wanted the challenge to grow something from scratch; to create a culture where "everyone wins".
Rather than just accepting the situation for what it was, they decided to take action. It meant waving goodbye to the corporate trimmings they'd got used to. A lot of a sleepless nights, and convincing their wives that it wouldn't be necessary to cut up their credit cards, just yet.
